Coach Mike's dedication to basketball has allowed him to accomplish so much. He takes great pride in helping a player excel at the sport. Mike has learned from some of the best, including Lindsay Strothers, Hall of Famer Howie Landa, Mary Hauser, and other great coaches. He has worked with players at all levels from all over the United States, as well as Canada, England, France, Spain, Germany, Norway, and Jamaica. Some of the players coached by Mike have gone on to play professionally in Spain, Japan, China, Lebanon, and Israel, and collegiately throughout the United States.

He has recently graduated with a Master's degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University. Mike first attended Cal State Northridge, before transferring to William Penn University in Iowa to play basketball after being discovered during a charity basketball game. Following a leg injury, Mike transferred to University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating in May 2008 with a degree in University Studies - Kinesiology and Physical Education.

Mike has been coaching basketball for many years. He has worked with many high school teams in Los Angeles and Ventura counties in California, as well as Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada (2008-2009 Nevada State Champions!) and schools in the Phoenix, AZ area. While attending UNLV, Mike spent two seasons as the Associate Head coach to Dan Savage for the Las Vegas Stars of the International Basketball League. While with the Stars, they set the scoring record in professional basketball by scoring 206 points in one game, defeating the Phoenix Flame, 206-147.  He also temporarily worked with the Santa Barbara Breakers, giving him a great opportunity to coach some NBA and international players.

Mike is currently the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Willamette University.

Mike has appeared on the Kidz n' Sports radio show with Coach Mike Davis and the True Journey Radio Show with Miss Mary & Dr. Janet Arceneaux (click to listen).  He has also completed a study on his athletic development program that showed great results and writes articles for affiliate, The Sports Family Club website.  He recently went to Houston to coach at the Xtreme Heat Sports and USA Select European Pro Exposure Camp.
